Starting up Atelier ND was mainly inspired by fashion houses & their creative workshops- so what better time to create a collection. With that said… where do I start? What kind of woman is she? What are her characteristics-casual or sophisticated? Since this is a first impression, as it were, I knew one thing was for sure… to get back to the basic elements: air, fire, earth (you’ll notice even in the wardrobe are basic elements: camisole & black blazer).
Another type of element we added to the collection is the latest in photo technology; cinemagraphs, photos with movement. David “Stock” Baird was able to bring the hair to life in these cinemagraphs, bringing the elements it represented to life.
OZONE– The delicate billowy style bares confidence with an orbital silhouette. SUN FLARE- This flash of color & movement exhibits spontaneity & whim. THICKET-The mass of curls embodies copiousness & generous bounty.
*Missing the element of water? It flows through each of them, via royal blue cat eyeliner, perfectly paired with a black blazer.
Zephyr- The gentle winded style showcases ease & effortlessness. Matchstick- The tiny knot represents a small source can produce a significant source. Wood Grain- These finger waves expose the perfection of imperfections.
AIR. EARTH. FIRE.
