Pushing Season: Pre-Fall 2015

It’s getting to be that time of summer when we’re over wearing bohemian frocks, sandals, or crochet anything.  With the fashion’s best season to come (hello, September Issues!), here are 5 Pre-Fall trends that make it easy to shift into Autumn and not quite melt with the August heat!

First, could there be anything more beautiful than the simplicity of Blue & White?  Inspired by Dutch, Chinese, and Maiolica porcelain, these stunning prints are just as much sophisticated as they can be casual.   Try it bold, perfect you are a wedding guest.  For Sunday-Funday brunch, it can be as subtle as a skirt or an accessory.

Midnight Bloom

The freshness of florals mixed with black or navy backdrops delivers the mystique of flowers glowing in moonlight.   Perfect for date night, business dinners, in the city or the countryside.  Dress up jeans & t-shirt with a jacket or wellies, or fully commit into a mega palazzo pant.

The Bomber Crew

The bomber jacket, and the original cropped jacket.   This type of coat is one of the few that has multiple personalities: gives edge to a maxi, preppies up a flared skirt, toughens up all black, and no matter what gives a youthful vibe. Not necessarily a sophisticated piece, but hands down a great piece to put on when we’re taking life too seriously.

Jus de Blood Orange

Nothing says more than autumn than festive orange, so what better way to begin the celebration with vibrant & rich blood orange.  This is lovely shade isn’t something to go subtle with, but why would you want to?  Either in a solid or a print, pour yourself a rocks glass of Compari with a splash of OJ and sip the summer away into autumn!

Weight Off the Shoulders

What’s the perfect blend of regality & sexiness?  An off the shoulder boatneck shows the perfect amount of décolletage without ever being vulgar.  This trend has been big in bridal necklines the past two seasons and now it’s hitting evening wear in a big way.  Sweetened with embellished appliqués & shear fabrics, seductive with contemporary minimalism, this neckline is the epitome of alluring elegance.
